Teachers demonstrate leadership.

Element A: Teachers demonstrate leadership in their schools.
Element B: Teachers contribute knowledge and skills to educational practices and the teaching profession.
Element C: Teachers advocate for schools and students, partnering with students, families and communities as appropriate.
Element D: Teachers demonstrate high ethical standards.

How Does This Blog Relate to Teacher Quality Standard V?

I am demonstrating leadership in my school by researching and compiling information that the staff and current administration can use to make an informed decision about which direction we would like to take our own school leadership. I am hoping to show that by changing our own leadership model, we will improve our educational teaching practices across the board. I also believe that I am advocating for our school and students because the distributed leadership model is a true partnership between teachers, families, and community members.
